Personal Touch.” These words not only inspire GRMC’s staff and physicians, but also guide GRMF’s fundraising priorities for hospital equipment and programs. The Foundation’s board has decided to embark on an ambitious new effort that addresses both high-tech and bedside care: a $1 million hospital-wide cardiac monitoring system. GRMC’s nursing leaders and bio- medical staff have been assessing new developments in wireless monitoring systems to update our current technology, selecting Nihon Kohden’s latest model My lifelong love of healthcare is closely related to my passion for helping others. At GRMC, our first obligation is to help patients and their families in their time of need. To accomplish that mission, my job is to help talented people and caregivers achieve their full potential by providing them with the tools they need and a culture of caring, safety, quality and teamwork. In short, my responsibility is to ensure that GRMC provides “Advanced Medicine. Personal Touch.” in every department and each encounter. Charlie Koehler’s life and recent passing are highlighted in this edition. He provides a timeless example of a business leader who knew that his cabinet shop could only grow through a strong reputation of excellence and reliability. He knew that his successful Funding the future as the best fit for our facility. The system comprises bedside monitoring units that communicate real-time data to caregivers. This integrated network will provide continuous and seamless feedback related to heart rhythms and trends, both while the patient is in bed and within the hospital. Taking the next step GRMC has been at the heart of our community for over 55 years, growing our service lines and clinical outposts to meet the needs of our community. We have steadily built a strong reputation for top-quality medicine, state-of-the- art equipment, compassionate care and patient satisfaction. We are now taking another step in technological improvement, literally at the heart of patient care, with this new cardiac system.
