MEET OUR PHYSICIANS REY MORALES, MD—GENERAL SURGEON Dr. Morales has served his country in the Air Force as a trauma surgeon tending to our military men and women in combat. He is board-certified in general surgery and fellowship trained in burns. Most recently, he was stationed at San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he was an integral part of the general surgery team and Burn Unit. As a general surgeon at GRMC, he appreciates the parallels between the core values of the hospital and military: integrity, service and excellence. VLADIMIR PAEZ, MD—HOSPITALIST Originally from Cuba, Dr. Paez has been caring for patients since the early 2000s. In Cuba, he completed medical residencies in family medicine and in general surgery. After coming to the United States, Dr. Paez continued his medical journey as a licensed surgical first assistant while pursuing his dream of being a physician in the U.S. Dr. Paez completed his internal medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso and joined the GRMC hospitalist team in July 2019. As a hospitalist, Dr. Paez will be caring for GRMC patients recovering from illnesses, surgical procedures and more. Dr. Paez is an enthusiastic team player who is passionate about patients and providing the highest quality compassionate care to all he serves. CHARLES WHITE, DPM—PODIATRIST Dr. White is a Dallas, Texas, native and board-certified in foot and ankle surgery and podiatric medicine. He specializes in foot and ankle sports medicine, primary podiatry, regenerative medicine, pain management, worker’s compensation, and orthopedic injuries. After completing his medical degree, he joined Hudson Spine and Pain Medicine, where he served as Director of Podiatric Surgery and Medicine, working as a sole foot and ankle surgeon for six years. His goal is to bring first-rate healthcare to the community through improving patients’ quality of life with a team approach for all foot and ankle problems. ANDREW CICHOWSKI, MD—NEUROLOGIST Dr. Cichowski is a board-certified neurologist who brings high energy and a strong passion for enriching patient care through technological innovation. He was raised in Chicago and spent most of his early life volunteering and working closely with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Northwestern University to study patients with spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease and other complex conditions. Dr. Cichowski obtained his medical degree from Chicago Medical School and completed his internal medicine internship, neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Dartmouth. Dr. Cichowski will be joining Guadalupe Regional Medical Group Neurology Associates in January 2020 and is excited to start the next chapter of his life in Seguin. 5  | GRMC Health Currents
