Initially drawn to psychology, he discovered a passion for holistic care and preventive medicine, which led him to pursue primary care. He earned his undergraduate degree at Loyola University Chicago and his medical degree at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in New Mexico. He completed his residency at North Country in Flagstaff, Arizona. Dr. Somen finds fulfillment in the diversity of patient needs, requiring a broad knowledge of all body systems. He is particularly passionate about preventive care, women’s health and geriatric care. His care philosophy focuses on collaborating with patients to make decisions together, respecting their treatment choices and creating personalized care plans. As a first-generation college graduate in his family, he brings a unique perspective, emphasizing genuine relationships and aiming to make a positive impact on each patient’s health journey. He also speaks conversational Spanish, which helps him connect more personally with a diverse range of patients. Britney Friesenhahn, PA-C Britney Friesenhahn, a certified Physician Assistant, completed her undergraduate degree at St. Mary’s University and her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. With over 15 years of diverse clinical experience, Britney brings a wealth of expertise to her role in Family Medicine. Her dedication to caring for patients and her passion for comprehensive family care led her to Family Medicine. Britney is proficient in managing a wide range of conditions, from diabetes and thyroid disorders to osteoporosis and musculoskeletal conditions, focusing on treating the whole person and addressing all their medical needs. Britney’s approach to patient care is centered on empowering patients with up-to-date medical knowledge to make informed decisions about their health. She views herself as a collaborative team member in each patient’s health journey, striving to help them achieve their personal health goals and live their best lives. Britney serves as a provider under Brett Earnest, MD, a board-certified Primary Care Physician. Working closely with Dr. Earnest, she is committed to delivering high-quality, patientcentered care within a supportive and collaborative primary care environment.
