Any issues with blood flow may affect the function of our organs; our ability to walk comfortably; and, in extreme scenarios, can even end our lives. Zack Nash, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon who has been performing blood vessel surgeries and treatments at GRMC since 2017. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, his general surgery training at University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center and his fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital. He treats vascular conditions that result in swelling, varicose veins, chronic vein ulcers, clogged arteries and aneurysms. He also performs vein-access procedures to help his patients undergo other treatments such as chemotherapy and dialysis. The ideal level of care Dr. Nash decided to anchor his practice in Seguin because of the tremendous support he has received from GRMC and its administration—and also the excellent support of community physicians in caring for their mutual patients and ensuring good outcomes. The addition of Bhupinder Sangha, MD, critical care specialist, has provided the medical backing to allow for growth of the vascular program. Next, the hospital will be creating a six-bed Intermediate Care Unit with advanced monitoring care and increased staffing, which will further ensure that vascular surgery patients and others benefit from the ideal level of care for their medical conditions. If you or your loved one may have medical conditions or symptoms that could be related to blood vessel disease, consider making an appointment with Dr. Nash for evaluation and care. His practice recently relocated to the physician office building at the rear of the GRMC Wellness Center. Please call 830.837.0311 . f low
