GENERAL SURGERY. Abdominal procedures on the gallbladder, appendix, hernias and colon are commonly performed by our general surgeons using high-tech robotic surgery techniques. Last year GRMC was recognized by Healthgrades for excellence in colorectal surgery. WOUND CARE. This specialized team helps treat underlying health issues while helping chronic wounds and ulcers heal fast and more effectively. Our state-of-the-art hyperbaric chamber is integral to this process. JOINTS AND BONES. Our orthopedic surgeons’ expertise has earned GRMC the distinction of being in the top 10% in the nation for joint replacement surgery and a 5-Star award for total knee replacement. Sign up for the Race to Raise! After two years of COVID19-related cancellations, Guadalupe Regional Medical Foundation and the Guadalupe Regional Wellness Center are thrilled to announce the return of our annual Race to Raise Run/Walk on Saturday, April 30! Two events will be held this year, starting at 8:30 a.m.: a 5K for adults and a 1-mile event for kids ages 12 and under. Prizes will be awarded for top overall male and female for the kids’ race and top overall male and female in the 5K in these age groups: 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+. The race starts and finishes at the Seguin Brewing Company and runs through Walnut Springs Trail and Park West. All proceeds will benefit our LifeSaver Grant Program, with a portion designated for the general endowment fund for GRMC. Race to Raise has provided funds for hospital needs over the past five years, including patient transfer stretchers, diabetes education tools, blood bank refrigerators, blanket warmers, rehab department equipment and much more. There are several ways to participate and support this fun, family-friendly outdoor event: • Sign up to walk or run.
