Specialty care expands WELCOME, LOGAN WARREN, DO, VASCULAR SURGEON GRMC continues to expand the scope of medical services available, helping residents in Seguin and surrounding areas stay close to home for the care they need. We are especially pleased to welcome an outstanding specialty care surgeon to our medical staff this year. Logan Warren, DO, a vascular surgeon, is returning home after many years of medical school and residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Originally raised in New Braunfels, Texas, Dr. Warren has deep roots in the area. Recently, he, his wife and their three young children settled into a home in Seguin, as he joined the Lone Star Heart and Vascular group, which has offices in New Braunfels and San Marcos. Having been a Boy Scout throughout his childhood, even reaching the prestigious Eagle Scout level, Dr. Warren has the values of dedication to work and to always “be prepared” ingrained. He has found that those characteristics serve him well in his chosen field of vascular surgery. He treats a wide range of blood vessel problems, including aortic aneurysms, peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease and venous insufficiency. Working alongside his cardiology colleagues at Lone Star Heart and Vascular, Dr. Warren will provide vascular surgery and consultation at GRMC, and he hopes to establish a Seguin office before long. Dr. Warren’s favorite activity outside of work is spending time with his family in the great outdoors, whether hunting, fishing or just exploring nature. Logan Warren, DO Have a vascular concern? In addition to referrals from local providers, Dr. Warren welcomes any self-referred patient who may have concerns about wound healing, vein problems, leg pain or a family history of aneurysm. We are excited to share recent and upcoming enhancements that make diagnoses more accurate, faster and more convenient, all while continuing to provide the exceptional care that our patients and families deserve. Harnessing the power of AI We recently introduced Gleamer AI BoneView, an advanced artificial intelligence tool that helps our radiologists analyze extremity x-rays and flag potential fractures in seconds. This technology is especially useful in busy areas like the Emergency Department, where quick decisions are critical. The AI does not replace our radiologists—it supports them, helping ensure that patients receive precise, timely care. Bringing x-ray to the patient To make imaging more comfortable and convenient, we now provide mobile x-ray units. These units allow us to bring imaging directly to a patient’s bedside when needed, reducing the need to move critically ill or post-surgery patients throughout the hospital. Less transport means greater comfort and safety during their stay. Improving access to PET/CT Later this year, a permanent PET/CT scanner will be installed at the main hospital campus. This advanced scan helps providers detect and monitor conditions such as cancer, heart disease and neurological disorders. Once installed, the scanner will be available five days a week, offering shorter wait times and more flexible scheduling. Bringing this level of care closer to home is a major step forward for our region. With these updates and our skilled team, if you or a loved one ever needs imaging services, you can trust that we offer smart, safe, patient-focused care. grmedcenter.com | 4
