HEALTH CURRENTS Springtime is always a welcome season, a time of new beginnings, fresh growth, blooming wildflowers and warm days. No doubt, this spring will be particularly special as our community and nation begin to look forward to a return to normalcy after the past year of never- ending challenges. Springtime also brings opportunities for celebration, such as graduations, Easter and Mother’s Day. With that theme in mind, we are dedicating this edition to the women who anchor our families, who provide leadership and nurturing, and to women’s health and special interests. Guadalupe Regional Medical Center and its staff have been dedicated to the well-being of our community over the past year, rising to the challenge of the summer and winter COVID-19 surges, as a leader in our local vaccination efforts, and also in our community response during the recent winter storm. Despite these events, we have not paused our efforts to expand our services and facility for the sake of the patients and families we are privileged to serve.
